Welcome to the Happy Plant Project! We’re thrilled to share some exciting news about our mission to plant 1 million trees. Our journey has taken a big leap forward as we join hands with 53 government schools across 53 districts of Madhya Pradesh to inspire environmental stewardship from an early age.
Our Green Mission
Our goal is simple yet profound: to instill a love for nature and a sense of environmental responsibility in children. By planting trees during the monsoon season, we’re not just greening schools, but also nurturing young minds to grow up with an appreciation for the environment.
Launch Day Highlights
Today, on June 21, 2014, we launched our *Hare Bhare School Abhiyan* at Sarojini Naidu Government School in Bhopal. The energy was electric as over 50 students and volunteers came together to plant trees and stand up for Mother Nature. It was heartwarming to see the enthusiasm and commitment of these young eco-warriors and their supporters.
Varieties of Trees Planted
We planted a mix of fruit and shade trees to ensure a diverse and beneficial environment for the schools. The varieties include:
- Jamun (Black Plum)
- Aam (Mango)
- Morchali (Drumstick)
- Aamla (Indian Gooseberry)
- Drumstick (Moringa)
- Harra (Chebulic Myrobalan)
- Neem
- Peepal (Sacred Fig)
- Kathail (Jackfruit)
These trees will not only provide shade and beauty but also fruits, contributing to the health and well-being of the school community.
